Football season begins as we gear up for the Camden Show

I think it’s going to rain this week… It has to, because the Camden Show is on… Well, that and the bureau of meteorology said so… I’ve got heaps of fun memories from the show, but my lasting ones are the mud, straw, fireworks and the smell of the wood fire which is usually behind our stall. This year our team is going all out to make sure we present all things Wakeling in the best way we can. I’m keen on seeing how it will look, and trust me it will be worth it. The winter sporting season in full rage too with the Wests Tigers having a solid first hit out against the Roosters last Saturday. I ventured to the match with Harrison fresh from a trial match at Camden Rams, and my little try scorer loved the atmosphere. It was bittersweet seeing Teddy run out against us but exhilarating to get the win. I dearly hope we can all get behind the boys this year and bring them home each game. I’d also like a shout out to the little fellas from the Oran Park Chargers who gave the crowd a thrill at half time, must have been a buzz for the kids as well as their proud parents.
