A fantastic day at the HSV Muscle Car Show

What a weekend!!! Sunday saw the mighty V8’s rumble into Wakelings Parts & Service Centre, with the return of the HSV & HDT Owners Club Muscle car show…Holden V8 fans certainly had lots to drool over, with scores of supremely detailed and lovingly restored Commodores, Clubsports, Senators, GTS and even a sprinkling of some super-fast racing variants thrown in. My favourite on the day was an exceptionally well kept VH Commodore SL/E…Burgundy over Silver this beauty reminded me of my very early days…not the least of which, because dad sold it in his Canberra days! Gary Thompson and the Service crew had the centre looking exceptional, George and the Parts crew too. Jumping castles, Race simulators, Racing Driver Warren Luff and even a special BBQ cooked by the Dance Crew, Studio 7 topped the day right off…It will be sad that we don’t have any Australian Produced V8’s after this year, but the passion for these cars will endure as will the fans…thanks for turning up!
