A weekend with Wakeling Automotive

What a weekend…not only was the weather fantastic this weekend, (you can tell spring is coming), but the crew at Wakelings was also kept busy with two huge community events…Firstly we were on hand to help out the Oran Park Gregory Hills Chargers JRLFC with their Gala day… A really nice event (love a good sausage sizzle), to bring their juniors season to a close on Saturday.

Then on Sunday, we lined up once again to show our support for St Thomas More School. This little school tucked away behind St Patrick’s College in Campbelltown has nearly 40 years history, and I’m really pleased to say we continued our support by giving away our 30th pre-loved car at the fete… It’s always great to see the parents, teachers and extended school family making sure the day is a success! With organisers like Peta and Stacey you can’t go wrong. What’s interesting to see is the sense of community that this little school generates. Grandparents, ex-students and even parents who no longer have a tangible link to the school, always pop in to show their support. I’m pleased to say the winner once again came from a family with a child at the school, the shouts they gave when we read out their name showed just how excited they were!! I look forward to next year when we can help the school celebrate its 40th year by giving away our 31st car!!
