Wakeling Automotive 2017 Awards Night

Saturday night was a huge night for all of us at Wakelings…it was our annual staff awards night, which this year we held at the Cube. I always look forward to this night, it’s our opportunity to thank all of our wonderful staff, to spend time together, to reflect on where we have been and where we are going. Saturday was no exception...with the group now employing some 280 staff we had a huge turnout! We themed the event ‘Winter Wonderland’, and Maggie from Fresh Creative styling and our Marketing crew did a wonderful job bringing our visions to reality.

I was pleased to welcome some newcomers to our family, to recognise many that have been with us for some time and to share some interesting stats, the best one is that around 80% of our employees live in the region…something I’m really proud of! We had seven major winners on the night, Our Paul Wakeling Motor Group winners were: Rookie of the Year - Ali Ibrahim from Holden Sales, and Employee of the Year - Jade Fuller from our finance team.

Camden Valley Motors winners were: Rookie of the Year - Justin Varasuntara from Service, and Employee of the Year - James Budden, also from Service. Moss Vale Motor Group’s Rookie was Cameron Sandor from Service and Employee of the Year - Nathan McLaren from our Mittagong workshop. I’m also pleased to say that Vince Redmond our Campbelltown Pre-Delivery Manager was voted by his peers as Manager of the Year! A great night was had by all, many thanks to Emily and her team for bringing it all together, we look forward to many stories to come from the night and sharing in our hard work again soon…
