2015 was a great year. Not only did we achieve 30 years in the Macarthur, but we have reached our $1,000,000 milestone with our Wheels for life program.
With the additional purchase of an Ultra Sound unit and 14 x Cardiac Monitors, we have now purcahsed over $1,000,000 worth of medical equipment for Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals. It was fantastic to be able to celebrate both these great milestones in the one year.
We would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone that has supported us throughout our 30 year Journey, without you none of this would be possible to achieve. We are looking forward to raising even more funds for the Hospitals and supporting the local community for the next 30 years.
Since 1997, Wakeling's Wheels For Life Program has raised over $1,250,000 providing vital equipment for the benefit of both Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals. The program has made possible the acquisition of such items as a ventilation machine, digital weigh chair, mobile X-ray machine, digital surgical cameras and state-of-the-art operating theatre lights.
The program is based on the simple principle of Wakelings allocating $25 to the scheme each time a new or used vehicle is sold. According to Paul "We've always based our business on supporting the community that supports us, and I can't think of a better way of doing just that than through our local hospitals".
Wakeling's latest purchase was an EMG/ nerve conduction test machine and an Erbe endoscopy machine. Both machines will not only go a long way to improving services to the Macarthur community, but also offer a service that is not currently available.
